HISTORY
The Ferrari LaFerrari , unveiled in 2013 , is the ultimate culmination of Italian engineering and the visionary design of Flavio Manzoni , Ferrari's Head of Design. Manzoni, renowned for his avant-garde approach and attention to detail, has infused the LaFerrari with an aesthetic that combines raw power with timeless elegance.
The LaFerrari's design is distinguished by its fluid, aggressive lines that optimize aerodynamics without compromising luxury and comfort . Every element is carefully designed to enhance performance and efficiency, while captivating the eye with an undeniable presence on the road.
Flavio Manzoni has succeeded in giving the LaFerrari a unique visual identity that transcends mere lines to become an icon of contemporary automotive design. His meticulous work and passion for innovation have enabled Ferrari to continue to dominate the supercar sector, while affirming its commitment to excellence and pure elegance.
It's a supercar that skillfully combines captivating design with cutting-edge engineering under the hood. Designed to push the boundaries of automotive performance, the LaFerrari is powered by a 6.3-liter V12 engine, specially developed by Ferrari. This impressive engine delivers 800 horsepower, supported by a HY-KERS (Hybrid Kinetic Energy Recovery System) electric motor system adding an additional 163 horsepower, for a combined total of 963 horsepower . This combination allows the LaFerrari to achieve extraordinary performance while optimizing energy efficiency thanks to hybrid technology.
Creation process
For each creation , an initial phase of research and documentation is essential, covering the model, its origins , its designer , and its technical aspects.
The first step is to create the pencil sketch of each sketch , a meticulous work requiring great skill to capture all the details of the Ferrari. Then comes the inking phase with liner to accentuate the details. And finally, the artist carries out the coloring using alcohol markers and very soft pencils whose binder is wax-based.
Once the work is completed, the artist signs his works, dates them, and scans them to clean them up using professional software.
The artist spends about 15 days on the complete process , from the initial research phase to the final layout. This creation took almost 65 hours of work to complete.
Each work comes with a certificate of authenticity and two personalized stickers bearing the signature "TIMOTHE DESMONS." One sticker is affixed to the back of the work, while the other is attached to the certificate of authenticity.
