HISTORY
In 2010 , in the ever-evolving world of automobiles, the Porsche 918 Spyder was born. Designed by Michael Mauer, this hybrid car redefines the standards of performance and technology with its 4.6-liter V8 engine coupled with two electric motors , delivering a combined output of 887 horsepower.
The story of the Porsche 918 Spyder begins in the Weissach workshops, where Porsche engineers set themselves a bold challenge: to create a hybrid supercar combining extreme performance and energy efficiency . Under the leadership of Matthias Müller, the team developed an ultra-lightweight car using carbon fiber and advanced composite materials, resulting in a 1,634 kg vehicle capable of lapped the Nürburgring in less than seven minutes.
The 918 Spyder's design is as spectacular as its performance . The distinctive LED headlights at the front are reminiscent of the piercing eyes of a peregrine falcon , a symbol of speed. Sharp lines and gaping air intakes add to its aggressive, sporty appearance. At the rear, an active spoiler and a prominent diffuser ensure perfect stability at high speeds, while the two high-mounted exhaust pipes add a unique touch.
The minimalist, performance-oriented interior offers a clean and functional environment. Carbon fiber bucket seats, a racing-inspired steering wheel, and configurable digital displays create an immersive driving experience.
The Porsche 918 Spyder embodies the essence of Porsche: extreme performance combined with inimitable design, pushing the boundaries of speed and technology ever further.
Creation process
For each creation , an initial phase of research and documentation is essential, covering the model, its origins , its designer , and its technical aspects.
The first step is to create the pencil sketch of each sketch , a meticulous work requiring great skill to capture all the details of the Ferrari. Then comes the inking phase with liner to accentuate the details. And finally, the artist carries out the coloring using alcohol markers and very soft pencils whose binder is wax-based.
Once the work is completed, the artist signs his works, dates them, and scans them to clean them up using professional software.
The artist spends about 15 days on the complete process , from the initial research phase to the final layout. This creation took almost 65 hours of work to complete.
Each work comes with a certificate of authenticity and two personalized stickers bearing the signature "TIMOTHE DESMONS." One sticker is affixed to the back of the work, while the other is attached to the certificate of authenticity.
* This creation was not created as part of an official collaboration with the brand.
